symbolic still life

This chalk pastel drawing is a reaction to two of the four selected pieces of art work. I took the use of strong, dark outline and bright color from the painting of the woman and the profound use of symbolism from the Chagall piece. The day moon is something I've always been drawn towards in that it gives me a feeling of comfort and unity with those I'm not with; it's almost like a guardian. The window, the leaf bird, and the mountains also have meaning but I'll leave them to interpretation. This drawing isn't so much about the direct content of the still life, but more about the style and the symbolic meaning it has for me.
